Here we have two Kuna men who are elders in their San Blas Island community. This is a ceremonial/celebration mola. Both of these men are seen with flutes and maracas which are the main instruments used to create music for special occasions and celebrations among the Kuna people.  The attention to detail that was put into showing the clothing and accessories worn by the Kuna men is amazing. The shark tooth necklaces depicted are worn by almost every Kuna man.  The feather hats are also wonderfully depicted as this is the main article of clothing/accessory for the men during celebrations. You can see by the expression on the faces of these men how spiritual this is for them and they are really "into it."  The details in the faces also add age to these men so that we can really see that they are elders and hold a huge importance in their community.
